ScenicOrNot is a game that Dextrous Web produced for mySociety, to crowdsource a dataset rating the prettiness of Great Britain. We produced a clean, whimsical look and feel designed to be engaging and draw people in.

The data that the game generated was used by mySociety’s pioneering mapping project, Mapumental. ScenicOrNot was very successful, attracting thousands of players and tens of thousands of votes in a few short days. It was featured by the BBC and the Independent.
